Capello says Rooney will play

October 6, 2011 by Paul Chan

Wayne Rooney will start for England despite the arrest of his father on Thursday following a probe into alleged betting irregularities during a Scottish Premier League match last year.

England manager Fabio Capello said the Manchester United striker was “calm and relaxed” and would start the game against Montenegro on Friday.

Manchester United’s Phil Jones may win his debut cap if selected at right back and Capello was undecided about whether to choose him or Tottenham’s Kyle Walker at right back.
