City still keen to sign Nasri

August 21, 2011 by Tony Bugby

Roberto Mancini remains confident Arsenal’s Samir Nasri  will become a Manchester City player within the next 48 hours.

The Gunners’ player has been linked with a move to City for several weeks, but a deal has yet to be completed.

It look a further twist yesterday when Nasri played for Arsenal in their Barclays Premier League game against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

City manager Mancini, speaking after today’s 3-2 win at Bolton Wanderers, is still hopeful Nasri will become a City player sooner rather than later.

He added, however, the deal could be jeopardised were Nasri to play for Arsenal against Udinese in their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night.

Mancini added that he anticipated further transfer activity in addition to Nasri’s possible arrival before the window shuts at the end of the month.
