Nasri deal agreed

August 23, 2011 by Paul Chan

The BBC reports that a deal has been reached for Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri who is set to join Manchester City subject to a medical.

Despite a few late twists in the long running transfer saga, in which the stakes were raised by both sides in the days leading up to Arsenal’s crucial deciding leg of their Champions League qualifier against Udinese, the midfielder’s future has now been determined.

After their worst start to a Premier League in years, Arsene Wenger has admitted he will be spending the funds recouped from the sale of Cesc Fabregas (who joined Barcelona last week) and Nasri on strengthening the threadbare Gunners with a place in the Champions League vital to attracting the right talent to the Emirates Stadium.
