Rio Ferdinand has been left out of the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro on Friday, while Man Utd team mate Danny Welbeck has secured a place among the forwards.
Ashley Young was also named in the squad despite being rested from the Norwich City game, in which Welbeck scored, to rest an ankle injury.
