Welcome home Carlos

February 22, 2012 by Tony Bugby

Roberto Mancini has confirmed he has accepted an apology from the errant Carlos Tevez

The Manchester City manager added he doesn’t have any problem with the player who he is due to meet tomorrow at training.

Mancini believes it will take Tevez between two and three weeks to regain sufficient fitness to feature again for City.

He says the Argentine can play a big part in City’s pursuit of the Premier League title and the Europa League.

Mancini said: “We know Carlos very well and he is a top striker and he can help us in the next two months.

“It is an important time and we need all the players and also Edin (Dzeko) and Mario (Balotelli).

“It is important to have four strikers if we are to do well in the Europa League and become Premier League champions which we will do if we win our next 13 games.”

Tevez has not featured since late September and his infamous “refusal” to warm up in the Champions League game at Bayern Munich.

The striker later went AWOL returning to Argentina and only recently came back to Manchester offering an apology for his actions.
