Manchester United manager David Moyes has had an initial £12m bid for 28 year old left back Leighton Baines rejected by his old club Everton who have been on record as saying that Baines is ‘not for sale’.
Moyes will almost certainly increase his offer which could put 32 year old Patrice Evra under pressure although both Baines may prefer to be playing regular first team football in a World Cup year and has spoken about how he looks forward to working with new Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
