Manchester City Football Club is delighted to announce its first ever regional partnership in Thailand, by teaming up with the country’s much loved, est Cola.

The new two-year partnership will see est Cola become the Club’s ‘Official Soft Drinks Partner in Thailand’  and will further bolster City’s presence throughout South East Asia.

Having taken the Thai soft drink market by storm in only its second year of trading, the fast growing soda giant has already gained a cult-like following.

The news was announced today in Bangkok by City’s longest serving player, Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair, who are currently visiting the country’s capital, as part of the Club’s visit to the region.

The week-long visit will see the players take part in partnership activations and meet local Blues fans, before jetting off to the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

Tom Glick, Chief Commercial & Operating Officer, said: “est Cola is a young dynamic brand with huge potential.  The scale and speed of their success demonstrates Thailand’s appetite for brands that are not only innovative, but ambitious also. We’re proud to be part of est Cola’s journey and look forward to working together to engage and inspire Thailand’s legions of football fans.

“Thailand is a huge market for the Club, which is why we’re delighted to soon be launching a Thai version of the Manchester City website.  Set to go live in July, the new website will satisfy the demand from City’s millions of fans from around the country to be able to view the latest news and content in Thai.”

Dhitivute Bulsook, President of Sermsuk Public Company Limited (owner of est Cola), said: “est Cola look forward to working in partnership with Manchester City, in order to not only drive brand growth within the international carbonated soft drinks industry, but also domestically among Thai consumers.

“Through collaboration and innovation, both brands are poised to expand their customer and fan bases nationally, delivering the cool-est and most comprehensive football experience for Thai consumers to enjoy.”

Under the deal, est Cola have filmed a TV advert with City players that will be aired in homes across the country’s 69 million strong population.

In addition, City players and the Club crest will also feature in both below and above the line advertising campaigns and in store point-of-sale, throughout est Cola’s vast sales networks in supermarkets and shops.
