October 29, 2015 by Tony Bugby

Manchester City’s parent company has launched a new arm targeting commercial opportunities in South East Asia.

City Football Group has former City Football Singapore, which is a part of City Football Marketing, its commercial division. The new business will be led by director Damian Willoughby, reporting to commercial director Omar Berrada.

City Football Singapore will oversee the group’s commercial operations in South East Asia. It will work closely with a number of City’s global and regional partners, including drinks firm Singha, Nexen Tire, QNET, SHB and Jiwasraya.

City Football Group commercial director Omar Berrada said: “City Football Singapore consolidates our commercial presence in South East Asia. Football continues to grow across the region and attract fantastic and passionate support. We saw this first-hand when Manchester City played in Vietnam in pre-season.

“We have been working with well-loved brands across the region for some time. City Football Singapore gives us a permanent home from which we can work with our partners to manage and activate those relationships, as well as helping us to continue to expand.”

City Football Group has its headquarters at the City Football Academy in Manchester also has offices in Abu Dhabi, London, New York, Melbourne and Tokyo.
