Manchester clubs discover their third round opponents as FA Cup draw is made

The draw for the third round of the Emirates FA Cup has been made and both Manchester clubs face tricky ties.

Ex Manchester United defender Jaap Stam will be returning to Old Trafford as Reading manager for an intriguing FA Cup tie against holders United while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola’s first taste of FA Cup action will be at the London Stadium against Premier League opponents West Ham.

Ties will be played across the weekend of January 6-9, 2017, with winning clubs receiving £67,500 from the FA prize fund.

This season’s Final will take place at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Saturday 27 May 2017.
