Manchester City have continued their winter spending after signing teenage Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.
The Brazilian has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal with the club which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until summer 2029.
The deal, believed to be for £29.6m will see one of South America’s most exciting young talents come to Europe after playing just 22 times for Palmeiras and representing the Brazil U17s eight times.
Reis, who turned 19 on January 12, will wear the number 22 shirt and will become City’s second signing of the winter transfer window after the arrival of Abdudokir Khusanov.
He will be compared to John Stones as a ball playing central defender and has modelled his game on Brazil and Paris St Germain defender Marquinhos.
Reis said: “I’m excited to join Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Everyone has seen the amazing achievements in recent seasons, and I want to make my mark as we seek more trophies.
“Working with Pep Guardiola is something every young player wants to do, and I know he can help me to develop into the best player I can be.
“City also have a lot of experience of working with Brazilian footballers and joining the likes of Ederson and Savinho in the squad will be a big help to me.”
