Manchester United Foundation teams up with PAW Patrol™ Live! to treat local children to a special live show experience

July 9, 2025 by Tony Bugby

Manchester United Foundation has joined forces with PAW Patrol Live! to provide a PAW some experience for children at a local SEND school when the tour arrives at AO Arena Manchester on July 20.

The youngsters attend The Orchards Special School in Stretford, Trafford, a partner school of Manchester United Foundation, and have been invited along to the Manchester show as very special guests of PAW Patrol Live!

As the associated charity of Manchester United Football Club, the Foundation uses football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live.

Dedicated staff deliver educational and community outreach programmes to help young people make positive choices in their lives.

The charity works with over 42,000 children and young people each year, and delivers 117 projects and initiatives, tackling issues such as physical and mental health, educational attainment, poverty and employment, with a strong commitment to making a tangible difference to local families.

The special guests will get to experience an action-packed, live stage show at the AO Arena as PAW Patrol Live! returns with a brand-new adventure: The Great Pirate Adventure! The children along with their family will get to join Ryder and the Pups on a thrilling treasure hunt and enjoy a high-energy performance filled with music, fun, and plenty of excitement!

The fun began this week, when children were told about their surprise trip at lunch time party, hosted by Manchester United Foundation at Old Trafford on Tuesday, July 8. The party saw them enjoy PAW Patrol Live! crafts and party food before Fred the Red arrived to reveal the exciting details!

Harris, 5, said: “I loved the Paw Patrol party. I’m very happy and excited to go to PAW Patrol Live! I can’t wait to see Chase! I feel very lucky.”

Ian Maitland, SEND officer for Manchester United Foundation who is based in the Orchards School, said: “This has been a wonderful experience for our young people, and they can’t wait to go to the show.

“Many of the children have complex additional needs and don’t receive as many opportunities as others, but we always strive to give them special experiences through the Foundation, and this will be one to remember for them and their families.”

Claire Anter, from PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure”, said: “We are delighted to join forces with Manchester United Foundation and bring the magic of ‘Paw Patrol Live!’ to children and families across the area.

“Our hope is that this experience sparks joy, creates lasting memories, and inspires a lifelong love for the arts. We look forward to welcoming these special guests to the show in just a few weeks.”

PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure is at AO Arena Manchester on Sunday, July 20 (2pm and 5.15pm). For tickets and more information visit: www.PawPatrolLive.co.uk
