April 21, 2018 by Tony Bugby

MAN UNITED 2, TOTTENHAM 1 Manchester United’s record equalling 29th Emirates FA Cup semi-final ended in victory as Tottenham’s misery continued. MAN UNITED 2, SWANSEA CITY 0

It was all rather routine as Manchester United beat Swansea City at Old Trafford to reclaim second spot in the Premier League that they lost hours earlier.

Manchester United beat Huddersfield Town on day Reds mark 60th anniversary of Munich air disaster

MAN UNITED 2, HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 0

An emotionally charged afternoon in which Manchester United marked the 60th anniversary of the Munich air disaster was followed by a Reds’ victory against Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.

It wasn’t pretty on the eye, but United did enough to find a way past the battling Terriers through second-half goals from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez on his home debut.

And with leaders Manchester City surprisingly held at Burnley, United cut City’s lead from 16 to 13 points.

It was a satisfactory performance from United – nothing more than that – as they bounced back from the midweek defeat at Tottenham.

And Reds’ goalkeeper David De Gea, making his 300th appearance for the Reds, could not have had an easier ride as he didn’t have a shot to save.

Poor defending as Manchester United slip-up at Wembley under Tottenham assault

January 31, 2018 by Paul Chan

TOTTENHAM 2, MANCHESTER UNITED 0

With Manchester City racing off into the horizon with the league this season the race for the top four took a twist at Wembley after Manchester United went down to a poor defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in front of a record Premier League crowd of 81,978.

A goal from the kick-off by Christian Eriksen and an own goal by Phil Jones deflated the Reds who couldn’t prevent wave after wave of Spurs attacks despite testing Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal themselves although less effectively.
