Manchester City Women sign Lauren Hemp from Bristol City
Manchester City’s Women’s team have been boosted by the signing of England U19 international forward Lauren Hemp.
Hemp is the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year this season and joins from Bristol City Women, where she spent two years playing for the Vixens, scoring nine times during the 2017/18 season and was previously the England Young player of the Year in 2017.
Manchester United win licence to field team in FA Women’s Championship next season
Manchester United have successfully won a licence to establish a professional women’s team in the FA Women’s Championship, starting later this year.
The team will be called “Manchester United Women” and will be based at The Cliff – the club’s historic training ground in Salford, once redevelopment work has been completed.
